not until的倒裝與強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)
1.當(dāng)Not until位于句首時,句子要倒裝。其結(jié)構(gòu)為:Not until+從句/表時間的詞+助動詞+(主句)主語+謂語+...。如:
①Not until the teacher came in did the students stop talking.直到老師進(jìn)來學(xué)生們才停止講話。
②Not until next week will the sports meet be held.直到下周才開運(yùn)動會。
2. not until的強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)為:It is / was not until+從句/表時間的詞+that+...。
上面兩句改為強(qiáng)調(diào)句為:
③It was not until the teacher came in that the students stopped talking.
④It is not until next week that the sports meet will be held.

而until指“直到”。例如：
