英語中怎么形容一個東西“可以買到”、“可以找到”、“隨時都可以用”等等意思,我們來看看。

1. available: something that is available is able to be used or can easily be bought or found?

例:

Tickets are available from the box office. (可以在售票處買到票。)

There are plenty of jobs available in the area. (這個地區(qū)很好找工作。)

Meetings were held to update employees as soon as new information became available. (一有新信息,就開會告訴員工。)

Further building can continue when money is made available. (資金一到位,工程就可以繼續(xù)。)

readily/widely available (= very easy to obtain )

Parking is readily available near the station entrance. (車站入口處很容易找到停車位。)

2. to be had/found: something that is to be had or to be found is available to anyone who knows where to get it from

例:

3. be going: if something is going , it is available for anyone who wants it

備注:''be going''常用于英式英語非正式的場合。

例:

Is there any more wine going? (還有酒嗎?)

There aren't many jobs going in this part of the country. (這里不好找工作。)

4. at your disposal: if something is at your disposal, someone has provided it for you to use whenever you want or in any way that you want

例:

We have ample money at our disposal to do this job right. (我們有足夠資金可以好好進行這個項目。)

A limousine and driver were put at her disposal for the entire week. (加長車和司機都可供她隨時用整個禮拜。)

5. be on tap: if something that you like or enjoy is on tap , it is available to you all the time so that you can have it whenever you want it

備注:''be on tap''常用于非正式的場合。

例:

It's a great place for a rest: food, music, alcohol—everything's on tap. (這里是休閑的好地方,吃的喝的音樂,應有盡有。)

Some three hundred free outdoor shows are on tap during the weekend festival. (周末狂歡期間將有300多場室外免費演出供人們觀看。)

6. valid: if a ticket, passport etc is valid , you can legally use it and it will be officially accepted

例:

Do you have a valid driver's license? (你的駕照還在有效期內嗎?還可以用嗎?)

Your ticket is valid for travel at any time of the day. (你用這個票在當天之內可以隨意坐車。)

My passport is valid for 10 years. (我的護照有效期10/可以用10年。)

7. current: a current official document has not yet reached the date after which it can no longer be used

例:

Acceptable forms of ID include a current passport or a birth certificate. (有效的身份證明可以是在有效期內的護照或出生證明。)
